Countdown..13 DAYS!!!!

September 3, 2011 will be a day I never forget......Now, it's hard to believe we are THIRTEEN days away from our big, exciting celebration.  More than likely this will be my last post until after the honeymoon and after I get acclimated to my new job as a Reac3h Coach with the OSDE.

I had a Tulsa  Bridal Shower yesterday hosted by Jessica's friends.  Jessica is Ben's mom (also known as:  Granny)....

It was a brunch and everything was delicioiusly  perfect!  However, I was not the only guest of honor.  We had a special guest that entertained us!......Judy Ham!

For most people, the word "pig" brings images of a farm with a huge pig rolling around in mud or snorting in a pig trough.  But for some folks, like my future sister-in-law, they have a teacup piglet that enjoys eating leftovers from a bridal shower....LOL!  This is the newest addition to the many pets they have in their family.

One of my bridesmaids, Julie, was in "hog heaven".  Most of you don't know, but Jules loves pigs!!!

I am also thankful that Ben's bachelor party was a huge success....They spent the day and night at the Hard Rock Casino.  They had planned the day for golf but because of the heat decided to leisurely spend their day at the pool, then  dinner @ McGill's and the rest of the evening gambling!  I'm very jealous of his fan picture....as most of you saw me on Brookside with the well known "Biker Fox"...lol....Ben just happened to be at the right place at the right time....

Countdown..16 Days...

Ben and I have been sad this past week.....cried lots of tears because we lost our dog that appeared at our doorstep on a cold, dreary day last November.  We loved our sweet Abe and have been devastated over losing him...

Rest in Peace, sweet Abe....

After two days of crying and feeling depressed, I thought I was not going to make the bachelorette party, but .....  

I seriously feel so lucky to have such amazing friends and family that make me feel so special.  I had such fun hanging out with everyone....First, at my sister's home for pre dinner drinks and appetizers.Then, dinner at Sonoma Wine Bar on Brookside.....then on to the Mayo Rooftop for socializing...and  dancing at the Caravan.  Nothing crazy, just laid back fun!  I'm anxiously waiting and counting down the days to celebrate with my dear college friends and family that live afar and all my peeps close by.....It's count down  girls....16 days til August 4th....

Bristow BRIDAL shower...

I was actually born in a Tulsa  hospital, but my parents lived in BRISTOW.  I attended the Bristow Schools through the fourth grade at which time we moved to Tulsa and I attended Metro Christian for three years. I finished my education in the Jenks School District before attending the University of Oklahoma.  My parents were born and raised in Bristow so my family roots are planted there.  My mother moved back to Bristow and married my stepdad in 2003.  I am still proud to be a part of Bristow and appreciated the hostesses that made my day on Sunday, June 3rd.....Ben and I were truly blessed with gifts and felt so loved.....
